The Canique infrared measuring head is an extremely low-power device that can convert the infrared data of a smart meter into UART data.
It has a strong magnet integrated in the housing so that it can be attached to the smart meter.

Cable
The cable length can be selected between 0.5 and 2 meters. The supplied cable has an outer diameter of 5.1mm, the cores are AWG 22.
Wire colours:
- VCC red
- GND black
- TX white (outgoing data: infrared measuring head -> external device)
- RX yellow (incoming data: external device -> infrared measuring head) optional
Transmit LED
The RX connector and the transmit LED are optional and are not fitted as standard, as the vast majority of smart meters transmit periodically and the measuring head does not require a transmit LED.
If you require a TX LED, please note this in your order and please specify your intended VCC voltage as the series resistance of the TX LED depends on the VCC voltage.
